So what is the best laptop to buy?
Dell
Dell laptops have very few problems. They are
generally a good investment. A few years ago the
5150 and 5160 models had a tendency to overheat but
dell has addressed these issues and now the only
problems they have when it comes to repairs is
because of broken power connectors. Dell do not sell
in the shops so if you want to buy one you would
need to phone them or buy one on the internet. The
part where you plug your adapter into the back of
the laptop can get worn out hence the board will
need to be taken out and a new pin fitted to the
motherboard. Generally speaking Dell is a good
laptop to buy.
Sony
Sony Vaio laptops must be the best
looking laptops of all. If you want to have the best
looking laptop on the block then here is the king.
However some Sony laptops suffer from boot up
problems. Sometimes they will just fail to boot up.
One day they work fine the next they just wont boot
at all. This is for safety reasons. Sony Vaio
laptops need to be serviced once a year. Some of
them are thin and if picked up with one hand they
may develop bad contact on the motherboard.
IBM
Ibm is now known as Lenovo. Ibm laptops
are not very nice looking laptops but are very
strong workhorses. If you want a laptop to last you
many years then IBM is a safe bet. They rarely
suffer from problems. However on the t41 models some
of them suffer from bad contact on the motherboard
usually where the graphics chipset is located. There
website is difficult to navigate when looking for
drivers. In general IBM is a good laptop to buy.
Toshiba
Toshiba make decent laptops. You may be
surprised to know that in a lot of the other laptops
in this list have lot of their parts are made by
Toshiba. The Quasmio range has been a nightmare for
Toshiba. Many of them suffer from onboard graphics
card problems. There other ranges of laptops are
good sturdy notebooks with their latest models
having few problems at all the satellite range is a
safe bet to buy.
Acer
Surprisingly Acer are pretty good
laptops. There small 13.3 laptops have few problems
at all. The main problems with Acer laptops are
broken power pins. If you pull on your power cable
which connects to your laptop you will probably
break the little pin on the motherboard. Acer should
sort this problem out as it has been like this for a
couple of years now. An Acer laptop is a cheap and
cheerful laptop that usually wont let you down.
HP
Hp Compaq laptops are usually good
laptops to buy. Over the years they have suffered
from inverter backlight problems and power pin
connector problems. Their latest laptops are getting
better. They are quite robust and are better for
mobile use than many other makes of laptop so if you
are going to carry it around it is strong like an
IBM. Again be careful with the power connector on
the back of the laptop.
Panasonic
Simply put this by far the best laptop to
buy. Panasonic laptops are very very strong . They
are used by the military and for obvious reasons. If
you have plenty of cash then this is the laptop to
buy. One small point to remember is that on a lot of
Panasonic laptop the processor is soldered to the
motherboard so upgrading it would be out of the
options. However most customers don't even think
about upgrading their processors at all so this
should not be an issue.
Samsung
Good strong laptop have very few repair
issues. Although Samsung sell few laptops they are a
very good laptop to buy. This is a very powerful
company who has just won the contract to build the
Burj Dubai (The worlds largest skyscraper) A good
laptop that has very few problems.
There are many many makes of laptop on the market
today. Have you heard of mesh or benq? There are
around 50 makes of laptop on the mass market at the
moment but the best laptops must be laptops that are
strong powerful and have things like blu ray disc
